What People does

• Leave on your rules — define leave types, balances and accruals; employees see a live preview when they apply.
• Attendance and shifts — punches, corrections and rosters; attendance is judged against the published roster.
• Payroll and payslips — monthly runs with PF, ESI and professional tax presets, TDS year to date, loans and advances recovered, payslips for every employee.
• Expense claims — file a claim with its receipt, approve it, and carry the amount into payroll.
• Handbook and onboarding — publish policies and see who acknowledged them; onboarding and offboarding checklists, with full and final settlement for leavers.
• One approval flow — leave, claims, overtime and settlements share one engine; approvers can decide by email or WhatsApp.

People prepares payslips and statements from finalized payroll. It does not file returns with the authorities.
